First It Runs, Then It Holds and Finally It Pays Off.

TAMPOPRINT offers an extensive range of pad printing inks. Depending on your application, we have one-component or two-component inks. As well as U.V. curable inks. Our ink catalog contains useful information about our various inks, including recommendations for which inks perform best on certain substrates, performance characteristics for the inks, resistance, and applications data.

Our Ink Portfolio

TAMPOPRINT Standard Inks

Our standard TAMPOPRINT ink types are supplied in a wide range of variety and colors. One and two component inks make up our main staples and work exceptionally well when combined eith the correct thinners, hardeners, and substrates. Single component inks can be categorized as only needing the appropriate thinners added to them to ensure the correct ink viscosity and adhesion properties. These inks dry only when the evaporation of the solvent has taken place. When added abrasion and chemical resistance is needed two component inks offer are the norm. when the correct hardeners and thinners are added at the correct ratios two component inks offer an extremely durable print film. Two component inks can require up to 72 hours to cure in an open environment above 70°F. The curing time can be decreased by adding heat to the part after printing, this is normally done via oven.

Additives

Ink additives
Thinner

The thinner is responsible to bring the ink into a printable consistency. The addition of a thinner does not just influence the viscosity, flow capacity and ink dispensing behaviour of the pad printing ink from the pad to the workpiece, but it also has a very particular influence on the drying speed. In addition to universal thinners, "quick" and "slow" thinners are also available.

Retarder

The retardeter is a very slow thinner used to slow down the drying time without having a negative effect on the ink viscosity. It may also be necessary to add retarder when printing large print images or when using slow pad printing machines.

Hardener

Hardener is added to achieve a better consistency of 2-component inks. This means, the hardener will react with the remaining resin bonding agent of the printing ink and will create a cross linking of the printing ink or the ink film on the workpiece.
