Process expertise

To achieve optimum printing results, we rely on the TAMPOPRINT Print Quality Management process! Through comprehensive analysis in application engineering, we work out in detail how, for example, the geometry, strength and surface properties of the product can be brought into perfect harmony with the adhesion and viscosity of the printing medium and the properties of the cliché as well as the properties of the printing pad.

Our most sustainable products!

The most sustainable pad printing inks in our portfolio!

The U-HF and RDF-HF series are environmentally friendly pad printing inks that adhere to a range of substrates. They are free of: BPA, cyclohexanone, chlorine, butyl glycolate, aromatic solvents, barium, fluorine, and bromine.

These low-odor, solvent-based inks are available in 23 standard ink shades. You can find them in the ink shade card.

The U-HF and RDF-HF series the most stringent compliance tests, including:

  • CLP/GHS (EC 1272/2008)
  • EN 71-3
  • Coverage (EC 1907/2006)
  • RLS-EuPIA
  • RoHS
  • EuPIA Switzerland
  • REACh
  • Nestle Guidance Note on Packaging Inks
  • EN 71-9:2007-09
  • GADSL

Alternative applications

The pad printing process is ideally suited for two-dimensional microdosing. In other words, media other than ink can also be transferred, such as medical agents (e.g. nicotine), lubricants, illuminants (e.g. printed LEDs), bonded coatings, greases, conductive compounds/conductive coatings (e.g. gold pastes) and much more. Which ink type is the right one is based on various influencing factors. The coverage of ink types and shades depends on the surface to be printed as well as the engraving depth, cliché screening and the number of prints (single or double/multiple printing). The ink consistency must also be adjusted to the correct viscosity with the appropriate thinner (solvent), depending on the print image. You will find the tools perfectly matched to our pad printing inks in our portfolio.

For good resistance, solvent-based 1- or 2-component inks or UV pad printing inks must be used, depending on the type of substrate. The 1-component inks dry physically by evaporation of the solvent content. In the case of 2-component inks, a cross-linking reaction takes place after ink transfer in addition to physical drying. UV pad printing inks have a lower solvent content. These dry under UV light.
